How to get there

From Oslo International Airport Gardemoen you have daily flights to Alta airport. Alta airport also serves various destinations in Norway both daily and weekly. From here there are bus services to the North Cape. Otherwise the nearest airport to The North Cape is Honningsvåg served by domestic flights from the northern region.

Alta and North Cape is adventures destinations in north Norway. In the winter Alta offer tours on snowmobiles or dog sledding out in the wintry wilderness while setting your eye to the sky watching the beautiful northern lights. Alta also offers an Igloo hotel where you will sleep on cosy reindeer fur. Alta is also famous for the old rock carvings fin there. Some of them date back as long as 6200 years.
The North Cape is special place situated as far north as you can come in Europe. Knivskjelodden is the name of this point which is well worth a visit. Also all the sea cliffs in different formation is a must see while coming to The North Cape!
